The short version: decor has a 30-day return window, furniture is inspected with you at delivery, damage gets fixed at our cost, and everything we sell is covered against manufacturing defects — rugs and furniture for a full year. The details, honestly written, are below.

Decor returns — 30 days

If a decor piece isn't right in your room, return it within 30 days of delivery in new, unused condition with its original packaging for a full refund of the merchandise price. Return shipping is deducted from the refund unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

One practical tip: keep the packaging until you're sure. Rugs travel in a heavy plastic tube and hardline pieces (lighting, mirrors, objects) must go back in their complete original packaging — a return that arrives damaged because it was repacked in a trash bag can't be credited.

Fabric swatches and free rug samples are yours to keep — no returns needed.

Furniture returns

Furniture is inspected with you at white-glove delivery, so please note any concerns on the delivery receipt while the crew is still there. Because many pieces are prepared to order, furniture returns are handled case by case within 7 days of delivery and may carry a restocking fee. Custom-configured and custom-size pieces are not returnable.

Damage & defects

If anything arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage and a photo of the packaging — even if the box looks fine. The carrier claim process requires both, and a missing packaging photo is the most common reason a claim gets denied. Don't move the piece or ship anything back until we've talked; we'll arrange the replacement, repair, or refund at no cost to you.

If a defect shows up after you've lived with a piece — a seam that opens, a finish that fails — tell us within 60 days of delivery with photos and we'll make it right the same way.

Rug warranty — one year

Every rug we sell is warranted against manufacturing defects for one year from delivery. If a true defect appears under normal indoor use, it gets repaired or replaced at no charge — just contact us with your order number and photos; we handle the manufacturer claim for you.

What the warranty doesn't cover, said plainly: the normal life of a handmade rug. New rugs shed, especially cut piles — it stops with routine vacuuming. Roll marks from shipping relax out in a few weeks. Occasional sprouting tufts get trimmed with scissors, not reported. Sun will slowly change any dyed fiber, and rugs on stairs or under desk chairs wear in ways no maker covers.

One warning worth reading twice: wet-cleaning a rug — hot-water extraction, carpet shampooers, foam sprays made for wall-to-wall carpet — can permanently damage it and voids the warranty. When in doubt about a spill, call us first: (239) 434-6339.

The warranty covers the original purchaser with proof of purchase and isn't transferable.

Furniture warranty — one year

Furniture from our house collection is warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for one year from delivery, under normal residential use. If a defect turns up, send us photos and the defective part or piece is replaced free of charge.

Not covered: accidental damage, misuse, normal wear, fading from sun or humidity, damage from after-market fabric treatments, or pieces that have been modified. Furniture is warranted for residential use unless the product page specifically says it's contract-rated.

The premium comfort lines we represent — Stressless, American Leather, Fjords — carry their own manufacturer warranties, which are typically longer; we review them with you during your consultation.

Lighting, pillows, bedding & decor warranty

Everything else — lighting, mirrors, pillows, throws, bedding, wall decor, objects — is covered against manufacturing defects for 60 days from delivery: replacement or refund, your choice, once we've seen photos.

A note on handmade things, because most of what we sell is handmade: slight variation in color, texture, and size is the nature of the work, not a defect. Undyed wool varies from fleece to fleece, stone and marble vein their own way, and no two pieces of hair-on hide match. That variation is why the piece looks like craft instead of molding — but if something seems genuinely wrong rather than merely individual, send a photo and we'll give you a straight answer.

Cancellations

Decor ships fast — in-stock pieces often leave the workroom within 24 hours — so if you need to cancel, call us the same day: (239) 434-6339. Once something has shipped it can't be cancelled, but it simply becomes a 30-day return. Custom and made-to-order pieces (custom-size rugs, configured furniture, made-to-order pillows) can't be cancelled once production is confirmed — we'll always tell you before that happens.
